Safeguarding Against Aggressive Antisocial Behaviour through Sport
Home / Physical Intervention Training
Our courses are devised based on your need and equip staff working with children to convert highly hazardous situations into positive outcomes whilst maintaining dignity of all involved and adhering to legislation.
Our course instructors have a huge wealth of knowledge on this topic and will support your organisation every step of the way.
Our instructors have worked the ground floor and lead from a strategic level on this topic so are well aware of the effects physical intervention can have on all involved. This is why we at SAAAB will do all we can from beginning to end to make sure your course is bespoke to you and your setting.
In addition, we are supported and audited by a member of the expert witness institute through our accreditors, which we are extremely proud of.
Our tier one course is aimed at staff who would be deemed to be working in a low risk environment. This can include mainstream schools, primary and secondary, children’s hospitals and care homes.
We cover de-escalative strategies, legislation and guidance and basic positive handling. We also look at recording and analysis pre and post incidents.
Our tier two course is aimed at staff managing challenging behaviour in a medium risk setting. This includes Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), special schools, care homes and community workers.
We cover all necessary legislation and guidance, de-escalative strategies to minimise physical intervention at all costs and finally the positive handling techniques. We also look at recording and analysis pre and post incidents.
